Mornings at the HERD elephant orphanage with Lammie the sheep and Nandi the puppy
Khanyisa the orphaned albino elephant was rescued from a poacher's snare in January 2020 and came to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development for rehabilitation and care. During her time at the orphanage, Khanyisa has become best friends with Lammie, a Pedi sheep who has acted as a mother to many orphaned animals. Watch the two graze together at the HERD orphanage.
On this particular morning, HERD founder, Adine Roode's puppy, Nandi also payed a visit to the orphanage.
