Orphaned albino elephant Khanyisa enjoys a roll in the sand while the herd watch behind her
Khanyisa the orphaned albino elephant was rescued from a poacher's snare in January 2020 and came to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development for rehabilitation and care. Since going through three months of rehabilitation for the horrific wounds caused by the snare, Khanyisa has been integrated into the Jabulani herd of rescued elephants and now spends her days out in the wild with them. This video was filmed before her integration and the elephants showed a lot of interest in visiting her.
