Diner horrified after finding dead toad floating in her dish at a Chinese restaurant
A diner was left horrified after she found a dead toad floating in her dish at a restaurant in eastern China.
Video filmed in the city of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province on October 22 shows a dead toad being scooped out of a bowl of boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili.
A customer named Song reported the case to the restaurant and the restaurant said they are willing to pay 8,000 yuan (£910) in compensation.
The restaurant manager named Xu said: "The toad may have been stuck in a fish's mouth or it might be from the pickled cabbage bag."
The restaurant has arranged for the customers to go to the hospital for a checkup and the case is under investigation.
