Adorable baby elephant destroys his grandmother’s cake in Thailand
This is the adorable moment a baby elephant destroyed his grandmother’s cake.
The treat made from rice, watermelon, grapes and bananas had been baked for the 70-year-old jumbo named Seenin at the Samui Elephant Haven on the island of Koh Samui in southern Thailand.
However, the cheeky two-year-old upstart named Haven noticed the lunch and ran over before stomping on the cake to stop his mother from eating it on October 13.
Footage shows how the calf’s grandmother kept on eating calmly, without stopping the baby from destroying her meals.
As the grandmother tried to grab food with her trunk, the baby stepped and slipped on the food causing it to spread all over the grass.
Haven then buried his head in the food turning the white cake into a brown sludge. After some time, he managed to grab a bit of watermelon with his trunk and guide it to his mouth.
Amused viewers who watched the video online called the baby a ‘menace’ online, as parents of young children lamented the video is not too different from what they experience at home.
Staff at the elephant sanctuary said that the cake had been donated by visitors who paid around 5,000 Baht for the treat for the elephants.
