Indonesian fish farmers shocked as crocodile enters cages and begins eating livestock
Fish farmers in West Pasaman Regency, Indonesia, were shocked as a crocodile entered the cages and began eating livestock.
Footage filmed on October 28 shows the schools of fish thrash around as they attempted to escape the jaws of the reptile.
Willy Akbar, the farmer who filmed the video, said crocodiles were seen in the pond when he and other workers were feeding the fish.
"We were shocked. This is the first time that a crocodile entered a pond and eaten fish in it," Akbar said.
The farmers suspect that the crocodile came from a nearby estuary and have reported the reptile to a conservation officer.
