A dog went head to head with a deadly cobra before an official arrived to remove the snake from a house in Tamil Nadu, southern India.

Footage from October 27 in Cuddalore shows the dog barking and jumping towards the serpent that was in the corner of a garden.

The cobra hissed and lunched at the canine several times but fortunately failed to connect.

Snake catcher Chella arrived and managed to retrieve and relocate the cobra into a nearby forest.

When no one is not in the home. Owner kept their dog has guard for the house.At the time cobra try to get in the house for some food but the dog doesn't allow it and dog started fighting with cobra and neighbours noticed the unusual bark of dog so they went their and see the dog and cobra were fighting. At the moment they called snake catcher chella and he camed and catch the cobra safely after 30 minutes of struggle and he drop the snake in the forest. People from the house are grateful for his great work.
