Protesters gather outside BBC studios in Manchester over article deemed transphobic
Dozens gathered today to protest outside Media City Studios against a recent article on BBC online which has been perceived as 'transphobic'.
The piece published on the 26th of October was titled “We’re being pressured into sex by some trans women” and is a survey of 80 people who claim that trans lesbians are pressuring cis lesbians into sex.
BBC rejected criticism claiming the article “went through our rigorous editorial process” before being published and “provides appropriate context”.
