This shocking footage filmed on October 28 shows dozens of people running towards Ghana's largest stadium, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, in the city of Kumasi, hoping to get a job in the Ghana Immigration Service.

This comes after the Minister of Finance, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta, announced the recruitment of approximately 12,000 people in the police, prison, immigration, and education services.

Long queues of unemployed young people stand outside the stadium. They wait to go through various application stages which include screening, body, and height check.

According to The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), 4,000 out of 7,000 applicants qualified for the final test, held on October 30.

Thousands of Ghanaian youth have besieged the Baba Yara sports stadium in the Kumasi Metropolis in the Ashanti Region with their credentials hoping to be recruited into the Ghana Immigration Service.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) says out of over seven thousand applicants screened in the Ashanti region, about four thousand have qualified to write the final aptitude test on Saturday (October 30).
