Huge queues at Shanghai Disneyland as parkgoers required to take COVID-19 tests to exit
Queues at Shanghai Disneyland came to a standstill as parkgoers were required to take a COVID-19 test to exit on October 31.
Video shows visitors queuing to get a nucleic acid test upon exiting with fireworks and the Disney castle in the background.
All visitors who were already in the park were required to take nucleic acid tests at the exit of the park and be tested 24 hours after departure, as required by the local health department.
These measures were put in place after someone who had been in contact with another with coronavirus had passed through the area.
The Shanghai municipal government carried out overnight inspections and implemented relevant prevention and control measures for people and places who entered Shanghai Disneyland from October 30 to October 31, 2021.
By 8 am on November 1, a total of 33,863 people had been tested and the results were all negative. A total of 920 samples of relevant site items and environment were collected, and the results were all negative as well. The whole site has been disinfected.
It’s reported that Shanghai Disneyland was closed to visitors from 6 pm on October 31 and it will remain closed on November 1 and 2.
