Michael Glodek, 43 from Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania has been creating unique and creative cake designs for his two children birthday's, in what has quickly become a family tradition.

"It all just started when my eldest was about 2 years old, we just started asking what cake he wanted for his birthday."

Michael, an independent carpentry contractor, has always just seen his cake making skills as a fun little hobby.

"My grandma used to make cookies when I was much younger and I would always help her make them, that used to be really fun."

Despite the amazing final product of these cakes, a lot of time and effort goes in to making them look the way they do.

"I would normally make them on the Friday night, once the boys have gone to bed and usually takes me around 4/5 hours to put them together, sometimes working until 2 or 3 in the morning!"

Michael has created fully homemade cakes, which has featured famous kid TV and film characters, including SpongeBob SquarePants and Lightening McQueen from Cars.
