Hundreds of protesters descended on the Royal Courts of Justice in London on November 2 to highlight police violence against women.

Footage shows protest group Sisters Uncut occupying the court on the same day two police officers pleaded guilty for sharing photos of murdered sisters.

The group were heard chanting "hey mister, get your hands off my sister" as security guards attempted to remove several protesters from the grounds of the court.

The police force has come under increased scrutiny following the kidnap and murder of Sarah Everard by a serving officer in March 2021.

Fury over the killing ignited several protesters and a vigil at Clapham Common, London, which was controversially shut down by police.

Activists from Sisters Uncut and other organisations today occupied the Royal Courts of Justice (November 2) in a protest over police violence against women.

Inside they read a letter outlining their grievences and were ejected by court security where they were joined by other activists outside who threw dozens of rape alarms into the court complex.

The protest was held the same day as two serving Metropolitan police officers pleaded guilty in court for sharing photos of sisters Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman's dead bodies after they were murdered in a random attack in a London park.

Activists say the reported crimes against women are just the 'tip of the iceberg' and many remain unreported.

Fury over the killing of Sarah Everard by diplomatic police officer Wayne Couzens ignited a series of protests, including a vigil at Clapham Common which police shut down.
