Nationally protected silver pheasant flies into supermarket in eastern China
A silver pheasant, a bird that is nationally protected, flew into a supermarket in eastern China.
Video filmed in the city of Jinhua in Zhejiang Province on October 28 shows a silver pheasant flying into a supermarket and falling onto the floor.
A member of staff was seen carrying a basket to catch the bird in order to do not disturb the customers.
After police arrived, they confirmed that the bird is a nationally protected species - a silver pheasant.
Police have taken it away and returned it back to the wild.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
