A total of 109 passengers on the KM Simasin ship adrift in the waters of the Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra, Indonesia.

One hundred passengers consisting of 11 crew members (ABK) and 98 adult passengers, infants, children and the elderly boarded the KM Simasin ship when it departed from Sipora Island to Sikakap.

"Incidents the ship's engine was damaged or died in the Sipora Strait and North Pagai," said Head of the Mentawai SAR Office, Akmal, Wednesday (11/3/2021).
