A video of a volunteer dancing with a male ostrich at an animal sanctuary in South Africa has gone viral on TikTok.

The massive bird took a shining to Joe Lashley earlier this year at the Riverside Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and began to do a mating dance.

Lashley thought it was funny and joined in

"I thought it was a pretty dope dance and reminded it me of Orange Justice from Fortnite," Lashley said.

"I’d like to add that people seeing it shouldn’t try it if they’re ever around an ostrich, the 7ft chicken is more dangerous than it looks," he said.

The viral TikToks have garnered over five million views.

Whilst Joe Lashley was volunteering at an animal sanctuary in South Africa, he had a boogie with a male ostrich.

At the Riverside Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, Tzaneen, a certain ostrich became quite fond of Joe whilst he working there in July.

So comfortable that the black-feathered male began to show it's mating dance directed at Joe and he obliged.

The viral TikTok's have gained over five million views collectively.

Joe said: "It’s affection is due to being sexually attracted to me (common for ostriches in captivity to become attracted to their human carers).

"I thought it was a pretty dope dance and reminded it me of Orange Justice from Fortnite.

"I’d like to add that people seeing it shouldn’t try it if they’re ever around an ostrich, the 7ft chicken is more dangerous than it looks."
