Finger stalls made of used paper were provided for guests to press a hotel elevator’s buttons in central China.

Video filmed in the city of Wuhan in Hubei Province on November 1 shows a bucket of finger stalls being placed in an elevator for guests to press buttons.

A guest named Wang living in the hotel said: “It warmed my heart when I saw the finger stalls. (The local people) have a strong awareness of preventing the spread of COVID-19.”

According to a hotel employee, his colleague came up with the idea to provide finger stalls in the elevators.

He said: “The finger stalls are made of used paper which is environmentally friendly and the stalls have been used since the beginning of the pandemic.”

The video was provided by local media with permission.
