A talented mum-of-three has spent 260 hours creating a life-size replica of Sir David Attenborough - out of CAKE.

Artist Stephanie Would, 37, is showcasing her 4.5ft-high creation at the Cake International ‘Into the Wild’ event at the NEC in Birmingham.

Stephanie and her team of four helpers dedicated the life-sized cake to David Attenborough, who celebrated his 95th birthday in May.

The bakers used 300 eggs, 20kg of flour, 20kg of sugar, 20kg of butter, one pint of milk, 500g of vanilla and 20kg of ganache to create the cake which was filled with 7kg of buttercream.

Alongside the cake, Stephanie also made small replica cakes of a giraffe, tiger, hippo and an alligator.

The mum-of-three, from Bradford, said: “David Attenborough is a legend in the animal kingdom as well as our own.

“He celebrated his 95th birthday in May and I thought this would be a great way to celebrate.

This video was filmed on the 5th November 2021.
