In the streets of Melbourne’s CBD on Saturday, there were two parallel universes at play. On one, a climate justice protest rally, and two streets over, more than 3000 people screamed for the resignation of Premier Daniel Andrews, an end to vaccine mandates and the destruction of the government’s proposed pandemic legislation.
The video captures the second protest. A large crowd of people - many with posters, many filming everything on the phone - listen to the musician and then applaud him.
