India: Orange Alert Issued For Tamil Nadu Region Due To Heavy Rainfalls And Flooding
Due to the severe rainfall and flooding, an orange alert was issued for the Tamil Nadu region. The alert covered 14 districts, including Cuddalore, Villupuram, Chennai, and so on. Some schools and colleges would be closed on Monday.
In Chennai, food packages were distributed and common kitchens were set up for those who were affected by the floodwater.
