A post box in Faversham in Kent, UK, was decorated with a knitted tribute to fallen soldiers on Remembrance Day on Thursday 11 November.

The feature has become an increasingly common sight across the UK on 11/11, also known as Armistice Day.

The day commemorates the armistice signed between the Allies and Germany, ending World War I hostilities. It is also a reflection on all those who have lost their lives for the country.

In the US it is known as Veterans Day.
