Palestinian protesters clashed with Israeli forces during a demonstration against settlements in the West Bank village of Beita, on Friday 12 November.

There have been ongoing rallies against the recently-established settler outpost of Eviatar, on a nearby hill.

Earlier this year, Israeli settlers left the wildcat outpost, in adherence to an agreement struck with nationalist Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's new government.

But the deal also allowed the structures they built to remain, and called for an Israeli army presence in the area.

The hilltop area where they established the settlement lies near Nablus in the northern West Bank -- territory occupied by Israel since 1967.
