A brave snake catcher trapped a rat snake at a temple shop in India on Saturday.

The snake had slithered onto the shelves of a shop selling temple artifacts in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on November 13.

The footage shows the snake catcher grabbing the reptile by its tail and pulling it out from its hiding place. He then takes it out of the shop to bring it to safety.

Visuals feature panic ensuing among the onlookers upon spotting the snake in the shop. Following this, a serpent rescuer arrives at the spot and begins moving the temple artifacts around on a shelf. Then, he pulls the snake out of its hiding and wraps it around his hand to carry it away. Meanwhile, the locals run helter-skelter to get out of his way.

The Indian rat snake entered a shop on the temple premises, following which the locals alerted snake rescuer Kiran, who soon arrived at the spot and adeptly took the serpent to safety.
