Trucks on a road shook after two strong earthquakes hit southern Iran on Sunday November 14.

Video shows the tremors rocking the heavy vehicles which were on a road in southern Hormozgan province.

The United States Geological Survey said the earthquakes occurred in quick succession. The first was a magnitude 6.0 quake with a depth of 5.6 kilometres that struck north-northwest of Bandar Abbas City at 12:07 UTC. The second was a magnitude 6.3 tremor that hit near the same area at a depth of 10 kilometres one minute later.

State media said at least 27 people were injured while at least one was killed.

Meanwhile, Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi has reportedly ordered local authorities to focus on rescue and relief operations.
