A security guard for an Argentinian political party threatened to pull his gun on a member of the audience at a rally last night (November 14).

As candidate Victoria Villarruel from La Libertad Avanza coalition was speaking in Luna Park in Buenos Aires, the suited security guard emerged on stage and appeared to threaten to pull his weapon on someone in the front row of the audience.

Moments later another member of the security team took to the stage and ordered his colleague to get off.

The political coalition released the following statement about the incident.

"A person from the public wanted to get on stage while a candidate was speaking, so security personnel intervened to prevent that from happening," the statement read.

"One of them went too far and threatened to draw a weapon. The attitude, which we strongly repudiate at La Libertad Avanza, led to the man in question being moved away immediately and later removed from Luna Park," the statement continued.

A security guard from La Libertad Avanza, led by Javier Milei, threatened Sunday night with drawing a weapon on the stage of the bunker during the act that that space carried out in Luna Park.

In a confusing event, the man appeared in the middle of the stage and threatened to draw a weapon while addressing someone in the audience with his hand, at the same moment that the candidate for deputy-elect Victoria Villarruel spoke.

Seconds later, another man approached the custodian, whom he managed to remove from the scene.

A statement released by the space led by the economist tried to clarify the situation by explaining that "a person from the public wanted to get on stage while a candidate was speaking, so security personnel intervened to prevent that from happening."

"One of them went too far and threatened to draw a weapon. The attitude, which we strongly repudiate from La Libertad Avanza, motivated the immediate separation of the security man in question, who was removed from Luna Park," the statement from La Libertad Avanza completed.
