Over 5000 DRC Refugees Cross Over To Uganda As Security Team Meet Over Escalation Crisis

Children walking with animals are seen crossing the border town of Bunagana, Southwestern district of Kisoro on Uganda- Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) border on Nov. 8, 2021. Over 5,000 refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on Sunday night crossed over to Uganda through the southwestern district of Kisoro after fresh fighting erupted between rebels in DRC.
Some refugees camped at Bunagwana primary school playground and others decided to return back to Congo. Government officials from Uganda and Congo met on Sunday to see how to handle the issue of refugees crossing over the border.
