Two young boys in Ha Nam, Vietnam, controlled a huge crowd of ducks and geese using just a whistle and improvised flags.

Footage shot on 5 October shows the clever lads, eight and ten years old, waving sticks with plastic bags on the end, to coordinate the fowl.

The boys' father owns a duck farm. The man taught the two boys how to control the ducks with whistles and flags.

After school, the two boys help their father take care of the birds in the field.

In the video, the boys practice using whistles and flags for a new flock of birds that have been introduced to the farm.

In some parts of southeast Asia, ducks are directed to rice paddies where they eat pests that might otherwise affect the crops.
