Gaza's Prisoners' Ministry announced on 18 November that Sammy Abid al-Amour, a Gazan prisoner in Israel, had died.

The 39-year-old had been detained since 2008.

Sentenced to 19 years in prison, he had a heart problem, but the Prisoner's Ministry said Morse had been subjected to deliberate medical neglect by his captors.

He had recently undergone heart surgery and had been transferred from Shikma Prison to Soroka Hospital, where he was later declared dead.
