Worker, 40, buried under collapsed racks of alcohol in Russia
This is the shocking moment a warehouse worker was buried under huge shelves of alcohol in Russia – and miraculously survived.
CCTV shows the 40-year-old pushing a trolley between two massive storage racks filled with booze. As the 25-foot-high shelf next to him buckled and fell, the man took cover under one of the racks, which unfortunately also collapsed onto him.
Rescuers dug through piles of boxes, metal, and broken glass to retrieve the worker, who was still alive but suffered leg and head injuries of varying severities.
The local emergency ministry said the fallen racks have been dismantled.
Preliminary investigations found that the incident was caused by an alleged breach in safety regulations. A more detailed probe is underway, an investigation committee said.
Meanwhile, the man has been sent to the hospital for treatment.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Krasnoyarsk region released the CCTV as a safety warning.
