While the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing will come too soon for little Wang Yuji, don't bet against her making an appearance at a future Games.

Cute video captured in the city of Zhangjiakou in Hebei Province on November 14 shows the 11-month-old girl standing upright and practising snowboarding at a ski resort in northern China with great poise and balance.

According to Wang's mother named Fan Xueyin, Wang cannot even walk but she learnt how to ski on her own quickly after trying it for the first time.

Fan said: "We encourage our child to learn what sports we are able to do. Me and her father can ski so we bought her a small snowboard.

"We planned to let her try skiing when she is older but she liked it. She was really happy and enjoyed skiing."

萌宝的妈妈范雪吟告诉记者，自己和丈夫都是“80后”，在北京工作，很喜欢户外运动。“国家要举办冬奥会，算是响应‘带动三亿人参与冰雪运动’的号召，最近第一次来崇礼，算是学滑雪。”范雪吟说。
谈到为什么带萌宝上雪，范雪吟表示：“我们家一直以来的理念是，家长会什么运动，就鼓励孩子学什么运动，不会选择那种我们自己不会的运动让她学。我和她爸爸滑雪，所以给她买了一个小雪板。”
“本来想等她大一点之后再试，结果没想到她很喜欢。来雪场后，她玩得很开心，很享受这个过程。”范雪吟说，宝宝刚11个月，来到雪场这几天才学会站立，但因为平常就喜欢带着她出去露营什么的，身体素质比较好，性格也很活泼，对运动不会抗拒。
