Livraria Lello in the Portuguese city of Porto is not only one of the oldest of its kind in Europe but it may also have inspired J.K. Rowling's depiction of 'Flourish & Blotts' in the Harry Potter series.

Rowling frequented the bookshop and the cafe on the upper floor while she lived in Porto in the early 1990s, teaching English as a foreign language during her stay there.

When readers first discovered Rowling's fictional Diagon Alley shop where Harry and friends get their Hogwarts textbooks, many spotted the similarity.

Now, streams of eager Potter fans pour into Livraria Lello every day to soak up the special atmosphere and, perhaps, imagine they too are about to purchase a copy of 'The Monster Book of Monsters'.

This clip was filmed on November 19.
