This is the moment seamen rescued passengers stranded at sea after their boat capsized in choppy seas in the Philippines.

Video shows the crew of the MV Seaborne Cargo 5 jumping into the sea to hand life preservers to the victims floating in the Hilutungan Channel in Cebu City early morning on November 9.

The men were reportedly going home from a party when a powerful wave crashed into and toppled their vessel.

Seaborne Cargo 5 crewman Jeffrey said: ‘When we saw them, they looked really tired and exhausted. I’m glad we found them on time and saved them.’

Dennis Goden, one of the victims, said: ‘Thank you to the staff of the Seaborne Cargo 5. I hope your good deeds are rewarded.’

The Philippine Coast Guard said one of the 10 passengers from the boat was still missing, and search operations are now underway.
