Hundreds celebrated the Dev Deepawali festival by lighting 5,000 candles in India's Sangam district, on November 18.

Pleased with this, the gods celebrated Deepotsav by lighting a lamp in heaven, since then Dev deepavali has been celebrated on Kartik Purnima.
