People catch fish,play and take selfie in flood water in Tamilnadu

Due to heavy rains, rivers are overflowing in many districts, and excessive water is released which is causing heavy flooding across Tamilnadu. In the past 24 hours, five places in Tamil Nadu received extremely heavy rains. Villupuram district received the highest rainfall of 22 cm and the rivers are overflowing in this district.

Water entered parts of low-lying areas and inundated roads in the vicinity. As the roads got flooded with lake water, many people started fishing in the floodwater. Kids are seen playing in the floodwater. The flooded areas have become tourists spots as many rushes to see the overflowing rivers and take selfies near the floodwaters.

Heavy rain battered Tamil Nadu for the last few days with the weather department warning that the downpour is expected to continue for another 48 hours.
