A fire engine blocked traffic in Kaliningrad, Russia, to help an elderly woman cross a busy highway.

Footage from November 18 shows the woman in the middle of the road trying to make it across.

A fire engine then pulls across the oncoming traffic, allowing the woman to safely make it across the remaining part of the road.

In Kaliningrad, rescuers blocked the avenue with a fire engine to help grandmother cross the road.

The woman, not understanding, tried to cross Leninsky Prospekt in the wrong place. Grandmother managed to pass half of the six-lane road on her own, but cars in the oncoming lane did not want to let her through, following the rules of the road.

The grandmother had to stop on the tram tracks, but firefighters noticed her. They blocked the other half of the avenue with a fire engine, got out of it and helped the woman get to the sidewalk.
