A group of kids in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, could not hide their smiles as they swam through the flood-ravaged streets.

Footage from November 22 shows the youngsters floating in the fast-flowing floodwater.

Due to heavy rains and floods, the excessive water released from major reservoirs and dams is flowing through the streets of Tirupathi. Even three after the rains stopped, the floodwater did not recede and splashed through the main highways in Tirupathi with high current speed.

Footage filmed in the streets of Tirupathi shows kids having fun in the waterlogged streets and swimming in the floodwaters. Similar scenes are witnessed in many parts of the city and more than 100 houses are submerged in the floods in Tirupathi city alone.

The southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh is continuing to reel under the aftermath of heavy rains and flash floods that wreaked havoc on the state, killing a total of 35 people.
