Neptune seagrass balls wash up on the beach of Spain
Natural bundles of fiber, known as 'Neptune balls,' appeared at the shore of Olivia, Spain, on Monday (November 22).
These oval orbs are made from the base of leaves that have been shredded and intertwined into a ball. It collects plastic as they form before carrying the rubbish to shore.
The filmer told Newsflare: "We went to the beach and these strange balls were covering the beach for miles. When we went the day there wasn't any. After doing some research I found out they are called Neptune's balls and when the temperature and season are right they die and get washed ashore like these. Our dog loved playing in them. Such a weird experience."
