This is the remarkable moment a volunteer reunited a baby bat with its mother after the youngster fell to the ground.

The baby slipped from its mother's tummy back in August in Tel-Aviv and a longtime volunteer from The Israeli Bat Sanctuary spotted the mother hovering over her offspring unable to pick it back up off the ground.

The heroic volunteer scooped up the baby and held it out at arm's length hoping the mother would return.

After several tense moments, she swooped down and carried her little one off safe and sound.
