An engineer's dirty money was found stuffed insides pipes at his home in Gulbarga, Karnataka.

Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials received a tip-off and raided the engineer's house. They then called a plumber to cut open the drainage pipes, revealing a stash of money.

The engineer has been identified as Shantha Gowda Biradar and is said to have stored around £5,000 in the piping.

They also found 7 kilograms worth of gold in his home.

Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials raided the house of an engineer who was employed by the government. Acting on a tip off they called a plumber and cut opened the drainage pipes at his house. To their shock, bundles of Indian rupees dropped out of the pipes. ACB officials had to collect the notes in buckets. The engineer facing serious charges has been identified as Shantha Gowda Biradar who works as an Assistant Engineer at the Public Works Department in Kalaburgi city, Karnataka state, India. ACB officials said about Rs five lakhs were concealed in the pipes. They have also a total of forty lakhs, seven KGs of gold several property documents from his house. The engineer has been booked on the charge of possessing property exceeding known sources of legal income.
