This is the dramatic moment a ferocious spitting cobra was caught after sneaking into a family’s bathroom in Thailand.

Surapon Pongpa, 36, was cleaning his bathroom when he found the venomous reptile hiding behind the water tank in Saraburi province, Thailand on November 17.

Shocked Surapon called the local snake wrangler and waited outside his home until the specialists arrived.

He guided the team to the toilet where the deadly snake curled behind the plastic water tank.

As the team approached the 5ft-long creature, it slithered through a tiny gap, attempting to escape and even spitting its venom at the specialist.

The team managed to catch the reptile within 10 minutes, using a snake hook to place it into a sack and carrying it out of the house. The terrifying serpent was later freed to the wild.

Surapon said: ‘I was terrified to discover a cobra spreading its hood at me. I’m glad I was the first to find the snake as it could have hurt my son.’
