A group of jumbos strayed towards a lake in Sri Lanka's North Central Province on November 25. The incident took place in Minneriya.

Visuals feature the herd of elephants, including their calves, submerging their bodies inside the river enclosed by forest to beat the heat in the region. After a while, they playfully engage with one another, splashing water with their trunks, and nuzzle each other while merrily rolling and taking a dip in the water.

The elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridors to look for subsistence. They often wander towards civilization, making the locks familiar with such incidents.
