University students rescue 9-year-old girl trapped in frozen lake in northern China
Three university students rescued a 9-year-old girl trapped in a frozen lake in northern China.
Heroic video shot in the city of Zhangye in Gansu Province on November 27 shows two boys trying to help a girl out of an icy lake.
After the girl grabbed the wooden stick, the boy pulled her to him and then carried her to the shore.
According to reports, the three students carried a 5-year-old girl standing on the broken ice surface to the shore first before bringing the 9-year-old girl back to safety.
The two girls reportedly skied on the icy lake when the surface suddenly collapsed.
Thanks to the university students, the two girls were both saved.
