Herd of elephants stomp into tea estate in northeastern India
A group of jumbos strayed into a tea estate in northeastern India's Assam on November 29. The incident took place at the Shyamraipore Tea Estate.
Visuals feature the elephant herd entering the tea estate. As the jumbos pour in, the curious onlookers gather around. The pachyderms slowly stroll in the region, occasionally munching on the greens. Later, the locals yell and run after the pachyderms, chasing them away.
Elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridor to look for food. They often stray towards the tea plantations or residential areas, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
