Engineering students constructs unique electric car with $2,665 in central India
A bright student developed a vintage-looking electric car at a much cheaper price in central India's Madhya Pradesh. Visuals were shot on November 28 feature while the incident took place in Makronia in the Sagar district.
Visuals feature the student explaining the attributes and utilities of his new car that he constructs at low cost, giving onlookers a sight to cherish. He further explains the features of every aspect of the electric car and displays it to the public. Following this, he drives the vehicle through the alley while the passers-by witness and behold the occurrence.
The engineering student from Gandhinagar, identified as Himanshu Bhai Patel, built the four to a five-seater electric car with a cost of Rs. 2 lakh (USD 2,665) due to the rising petrol prices in the country. Moreover, it is cheaper than the usual electric cars in the market, raising curiosity among the locals. Besides, the car can cover a distance of 185 km (114.9 miles) in just Rs. 30 (USD 0.40), gets charged within three to four hours, and has a speed of 50 km (31 miles) per hour.
Moreover, the vehicle has a button for a reverse turn, and an anti-theft alarm has also been installed. Further, the car has batteries, a controller, and an MCB box beneath the seats, while the extra tire is kept under the bonnet of the car. Also, Himanshu wants to gain the patent of the vehicle to launch it in the market and begin with his startup.
