A TikTok fashion influencer has shared an "amazing" fashion hack to style oversized jumpers with dresses - by wearing your bra over the top.

Jen de Oliveira, 37, from Los Angeles, California had been using the technique for a while to make the comfy and warm outfit look stylish.

She simply puts on her favourite dress, then adds a bra over that before throwing her jumper on top.

Jen then tucks the front hem of the jumper into the bottom of the bra, giving her shape at the waist.

She got the idea after seeing someone put a pin through their dress to accomplish something similar, leading Jen to figure out a way to do it herself without using pins.

"I thought - wait... why ruin your dress," Jen told Jam Press.

"What about just tucking the sweater into my bra - So I literally tried it for the first time when I was filming and it worked!

"I use the hack whenever I wear an oversized jumper!"

The marketing director revealed she never expected the video to go viral.

She said: "I never saw this coming! This is crazy... and exciting!

"Every video you make you have an idea of what type of response you will get, I assumed this one might do ok because it was quick, simple, had shock value and added value, but it has far exceeded my expectations"

The video (posted on @jendeolive) racked up more than nine million views on TikTok, with nearly 300,000 people liking the hack.
