The street snack, named locally as Khanom Bueang, is a Thai dessert made mainly from rice flour, egg yolk, lime water, and palm sugar. The crepes have different types of filling from raisins to salty coconut.
The snack was originally made only from coconut milk, rice flour, and salt but these days different fillings are added to the crepe.
First, the crepe is cooked on the hot pan before fluffy cream and any choice of filling is put top. The crepe is then folded in half, ready to be served.
Khanom Bueang can be easily bought from any market and department store. Price are around 20 baht per bag depending on the filling and location.
