Heavy rain leads to dramatic road collapse near Vancouver

Heavy rain in Britsh Columbia, Canada, has battered this road so badly that eventually it gave way, dramatically collapsing from the violent erosion.

"It's the first time in 80 years that our road washed out," filmer Colleen Craig said. "We were stranded at home for a week."

"I just like folks to see the power of water and how not to drive through it," she warns.

The footage filmed on November 15 shows rainfall turning into a stream on a mountainside near Roberts Creek. The asphalt of the road then starts breaking and more and more of the road collapses, taking down entire trees with it.
