A robber used a piece of plastic as a weapon to steal cash from a cafe in Ryazan, Russia.

CCTV footage from November 30 shows the moment the criminal burst into the shop and threatened the staff with a small piece of plastic he pretended was a pistol.

The thief stole 2,000 Russian rubles and the clip at the end of the video is him admitting he stole the money and spent it.

He is facing a charge of up to eight years in prison.
