this vulture is probably 3 and a half years old.
flying close-up , filmed in slow motion as he was facing strong wind and light rain , he moved forward very slowly , even hovering over me, not moving much , just suspended in mid-air.

the highly protected bearded vulture had been extinct in the Alps but has been successfully re-introduced several decades ago and more and more are born free again in Switzerland.
they are rather curious and not particularly scared of humans. he can fly nearby and just look at you. They are not dangerous, they feed mostly on bones of dead animals.
