This is the moment a bulldog fell through the ice of a pond in Kentucky and had to be rescued by its owner.

Security camera footage captured in Eminence back in 2020 shows the dog crashing through the ice into the freezing water.

The weighty pooch can't haul himself out but luckily the owner comes to the rescue after hearing a commotion.

"The video was captured by my Nest security camera during the polar vortex," said the owner of the dog, Patrick Story.

'Every superhero has a weakness. For Superman, it's Kryptonite. For Wolverine, it's magnets. Similarly, the curious bulldog featured in this clip has a weakness too i.e. ponds.

Footage surfacing from Eminence, KY shows a dog stepping on thin ice and not only falling into the freezing cold water but also getting stuck there until it gets rescued by its owner.

"The video was captured by my Nest security camera during the polar vortex that made its way down into Eminence, KY," Patrick Story told us. "In this video, you can see my two dogs, a bulldog, and a boxer."
