A group of incensed locals vandalised a school in Ganj Basosa, Madhya Pradesh, after rumours circulated Hindu children were being converted to Christianity.

Footage from December 6 shows the mob breaking into the ground of St Joseph School and throwing rocks through the building windows.

The students inside were taking a maths exam when the agitated locals broke into the school, however, they managed to escape.

The incident unfolded after allegations on social media claimed that the school had converted eight students to Christianity.

Activists of the right-wing political party, Bajarang Dal, barged into a school after coming across allegations of conversion in central India's Madhya Pradesh on December 6. The incident took place at the St Joseph School, located in the Ganj Basoda town of the Vidisha district.

Visuals feature the mob breaking into the school premises. They rush towards the main building and even pelt stones at the structure. Soon, a large crowd gathers inside, wreaking havoc in the premises. They raise slogans against the administration as the police try to disperse them. Meanwhile, panic grips the students who barely manage to escape.

The students of the 12th standard were giving a mathematics exam when the agitated locals and political activities broke into the school and wreaked havoc. Moreover, the incident unfolded after allegations on social media claimed that the administration converted as many as eight students.
