Market fire scorched 12 shops in Indonesia and killed a shop owner.

Footage filmed on Tuesday morning, December 7 at Pasar Tengah Sungai Durian Sintang market, West Kalimantan province.

The fire was first noticed around 5 a.m and extinguished a few hours later.

Police are still investigating the cause of the fire.

"It is suspected that the fire was caused by an electric short circuit. 12 shops were charred, and a man was found dead trapped on the second floor of a cellular shop," said Sintang Police Chief, Adjunct Commissioner of Police Idris Bakara.

Material losses due to the fire reached more than 35 billion rupiah or 1.89 million GBP.
